How are you feeling right now? Mad? Sad? Glad? Bad? Sometimes we have to stop and identify our gut reaction to an event or circumstance in our lives. Why? Because it matter to our spiritual health.
Allah wants us to love him with our total beings: mind, soul, strength. That “soul” is emotional. In my soul focused journey, here is what am figuring out so far:
Today while praying Isha, i just wanted to read Quran. Which is something i have never done anytime soo. I dont know what happend with me bt i just wanted to, and i only intended to read just a page because i had other things to do, buh while reading i forgot all other things and i went for quiet a while. Subhanallah. And now am feeling peace, ease in my heart as i had this unexplainable feeling in me before. I feel happiness now, Alhamdulilah.
Through this we should know that feelings help us become aware of Allah’s specially designed ways of calling each of us to Himself….encourage us to do more of what leads us toward Allah….help us see the difference between good and evil influences.
This already shows us feelings are one part of the way in which Allah directs our lives. Our feelings matter to us and they matter to Him.
So, what are you feeling today?
